Overview of 21st Century Skills: (meeting date 9-1-2010)

Class Goal/Objective for Session 1:

  • In this class session, class participants will learn the requirements for the course, and explore 21st Century Skills as defined by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills.

Assignment for Next Week: (Due 9/8/2010)

  • Use or show Wall Wisher OR Word Sift during the next week and be prepared to share your experience with others in class.
  • Weekly Class Reading (see above)--be prepared to write a reaction in Google Docs during class, some are more comfortable writing this prior to class, others can compose their ideas "on the fly" during class next week. It is important that you read the article prior to class.
  • Create a Google Account that you will use next week in class--come with this account created, know your logon and password, etc.
  • Pre-plan a survey/feedback form that you would like to use with students, colleagues, parents, etc.
